A plain summary of who MakoHire is, what it recruits for, how a search runs, and where to find every page on makohire.ai.

Who MakoHire is

MakoHire provides permanent, direct-hire recruiting for utility technology and engineering teams. Utilities and energy are the focus, and suitable enterprise technology searches in other sectors are welcome.

MakoHire is a Mako Professionals company. It recruits for permanent roles only. Contract and contract-to-hire consultants come from Mako Professionals.

Founder and president: Tyson Franco. Office: 900 E Indiantown Road, Suite 200A, Jupiter, FL 33477.

Why permanent hires

Utility systems outlive the people who build them. Documentation records what a system does; the reasons behind its configuration stay with the people who built it, and they leave when the program ends. MakoHire recruits the permanent people who own the system after go-live, ideally while the program is still running and that knowledge is still in the building.

What MakoHire recruits for

These are permanent employees joining the employer's payroll, not consulting resources. Employers define any required licenses and remain responsible for verifying them.

Who it is for

Engagement models

Retained Search

For leadership and business-critical roles. A committed, prioritized search with a dedicated Talent Partner and a defined delivery timeline, with a market map, a qualified shortlist and structured search updates until the role is filled.

Engaged Search

For specialist roles that have been open too long. A lighter commitment than retained, with the same focused sourcing effort.

Talent Pipeline

For teams that hire steadily. Ongoing recruiting capacity, or a fixed-term engagement scoped to a defined set of roles. It covers the available market for those roles rather than committing to a fixed number of candidates.

Commercial terms are set per engagement and discussed directly. MakoHire does not publish prices.

How a search runs

  1. Confirm the requirements: the systems in scope, the environment the person joins, and what they need to own.
  2. Direct outreach by a Talent Partner to people who do the work and are open to a permanent move.
  3. Evaluation against the job, with role-specific questions, plus interest, availability and compensation expectations.
  4. Search updates on an agreed, realistic timeline.

Result MakoHire can cite: 80% of submittals hired at a utility client.
